Safety Engineer

Job description

  • Conduct daily surveys for compliance with safety standards.

  • Ensure work plan compliance with issued Work Permits.

  • Determine and enforce proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

  • Coordinate with supervision and subcontractors on OSH&E hazards.

  • Act as OSHEMS Internal Auditor if appointed.

  • Monitor safety programs and procedures at the site.

  • Conduct Safety Moments in toolbox meetings.

  • Cascade instructions from Safety In Charge.

  • Attend Safety, Health & Environment meetings.

  • Promote OSHE awareness and conduct site safety training.

  • Assist in planning, Method Statements, and Risk Assessment.

  • Ensure adequate firefighting equipment and first aid facilities.

  • Participate in Emergency Drills and Simulations.

  • Prepare and issue Safety Inspection Reports (SIR).

  • Report and investigate accidents, near-misses, and property damage.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in any engineering course.

  • Minimum of 1year experience in construction safety.

  • Completed Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) training.

  • Pollution Control Officer (PCO) training (if applicable).
