Safety Engineer
Job description
Conduct daily surveys for compliance with safety standards.
Ensure work plan compliance with issued Work Permits.
Determine and enforce proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Coordinate with supervision and subcontractors on OSH&E hazards.
Act as OSHEMS Internal Auditor if appointed.
Monitor safety programs and procedures at the site.
Conduct Safety Moments in toolbox meetings.
Cascade instructions from Safety In Charge.
Attend Safety, Health & Environment meetings.
Promote OSHE awareness and conduct site safety training.
Assist in planning, Method Statements, and Risk Assessment.
Ensure adequate firefighting equipment and first aid facilities.
Participate in Emergency Drills and Simulations.
Prepare and issue Safety Inspection Reports (SIR).
Report and investigate accidents, near-misses, and property damage.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in any engineering course.
Minimum of 1year experience in construction safety.
Completed Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) training.
Pollution Control Officer (PCO) training (if applicable).
